Time S.p.A. Armada Music attempts to claim copyright on simple beats. It is like claiming copyright on bird songs.

This is like claiming copyright on bird songs.

I spoke too soon when I said in my last post "So far no company has tried to claim ownership after reviewing the video."

Unknown to me at the time, Time S.p.A. Armada Music had secretly reinstated their false and now in my opinion criminally fraudulent copyright claim.

This is not merely a false positive of YouTubes content ID system. I disputed it. They have reviewed it and made a false claim to own copyright on simple beats.

Time S.p.A. Armada Music is claiming copyright on simple beats. These beats are made from sine waves. They are continuous and unchanging throughout the video. Claiming copyright on simple beats threatens every musician, rap artist, binaural beat creator and audio artist.

What next, will they claim copyright on 4/4 timing?

Are they going to make you pay a royalty for your baby's gurgling?

This is just as bad as claiming copyright on bird songs.

The video has the following steady beats:
Isochronic beat - 0.5Hz beat. 528Hz base.
Binaural beat - 0.5Hz beat. 136.1Hz base.
Binaural beat - 2.5Hz beat. 136.1Hz base.
Isochronic beat - 0.5Hz beat. 136.1Hz base.

Binaural beats are created with two sine waves of slightly different frequencies. This causes a beating sound to occur. Isochronic beats or pulses are made with a single sine wave that is pulsed at a particular frequency.

Perhaps they are trying to claim copyright on sine waves?

I am asking my viewers to email both YouTube and Time S.p.A. Armada Music

More importantly I am asking my viewers to get the word out. Please post about this in every appropriate forum you can find.

For those of you who are more technical. I took some shots of VLC playing the original video as it was uploaded. I used VLC's visualization - scope which appears to give a Fourier transform of the audio. The sine waves remain at constant frequencies.

Back Pain & Headaches (Binaural & Isochronic beats. Delta 0.5 & 2.5Hz, Solfeggio 528Hz, OM 136.1Hz)
